After nearly 30 years of light but super efficient use my AEG dishwasher is now blowing the main house fuse halfway through the wash cycle – will restart if left for half an hour and then blow again during the hot rinse. I’m guessing some sort of electric water mix but my electrical expertise is zilch! Would hate to part with it if the solution is available, but live in the Highlands and guessing parts might be a problem – even if I can get hold of an engineer! Any advice much appreciated.

most likely either a heater fault or a small leak
