AEG oko-lavamat 88730 Washing Machine Fault Codes

Machine stops towards the end of the wash cycle displaying Fault Code “C4” and ‘Start/Pause’ button flashing. Pressing the button causes it to continue with no apparent ill-effects. Is it possible to obtain a list of the Fault Codes and their meanings, please? AEG ignore all requests for help and information.

Hi Vaio,

Feels like I’m typing a mesage to my own laptop. 😉

I can’t see any listing for the fault code displayed, which means it’s either unrecognised and that possibly means a PCB failure or that the machine employs a different fault protocol from that which we “openly” know about.

AEG is now owned by the Electrolux Group and perhaps one of their Service Force agents could offer a little assistance here?

C4 means the circulation pump or it’s related circuit has a problem.

I can’t elaborate anymore than that as I have no further information to hand I’m afraid.

I would suggest you call an engineer to be honest, maybe check the directories section here or let us have your postcode.

Maybe you could publish a complete list of the Fault Codes and their meanings – but jumbled-up, so as to avoid retribution from the AEG-ServiceFarce cartel? Just a thought.

(“VAIO”? – I was pressed for a UserName in a forum whilst attempting to get an iPod to work with WinXP. Could easily have been ‘smoking kills’ or ‘best before’ or (more likely) ‘Bad Gateway’ )
