The pump runs continuously even though I’ve emptied, completely, the drain tray. I think the anti-flood system has activated. I disconnected the inlet hose to relieve the pressure on the anti-flood system, but that didn’t solve the problem. Is there anything else I can do ?

From memory, the flood protection float sits in a “well” so there still may be some water in there.

If there is, the leak that caused still this needs to be found and rectified of course 😉

Even though it’s old, these are very good dishwashers, it may be worth considering an engineer to check it out Repairs@ should provide one.

Power off please if you go in yourself :zap:

I had this problem with an AEG machine. Luckily a friend told me a trick to try. Simply move the machine into free space and tilt it from front to back about 45 degrees. This was all ot took to clear the error code and solve the problem. It also rectified a noisy pump which must be related. I don’t know why the manuals don’t give this technique because it does say you should be able to clear the siphon but doesn’t say how.

Thank you for your input to this dead thread Rosco.

Future readers please note that the appliance should be unplugged before any action is taken. The procedure described will drain a leak into the undertray by pouring the water onto the floor. The leak must then be traced and repaired.
