I am after help finding a component for my failed oven.

    Details:
    AEG B1180-1-m
    PNC: 944 181 727
    Typ: 91 AHB 01 GA

The thing I am after controls the cooling fan at the top, which keeps the door and controls cool.

It is inside a thin blue plastic ‘thimble’ (the only way I can describe it).

It seems to have burnt out, and I can replace it in seconds if I knew:
a-what it was, and b-where to get one.

If anybody knows what I mean, I would apreciate the help.

    Thanks –

I think you mean the cooling fan control thermostat, how many leads (wires) does it have connected to it ?

    Dave.

    Thanks for the intrest.

It has 4 wires, 2 go into a small flat plastic rectangle; the other 2 go to a flat termination (each) which are connected by a thin wire, this is all around the outside of the first rectangle. The whole thing was inside (a burnt!) plastic bell shape.

Me and my soldering iron should be able to change one in a few seconds, if I knew where to get one.

    Thanks – Steve
