Pyrolux function ending early with F1 displayed 🙁

AEG contracted engineers are unable to tell me what this fault is (or type of fault area) and want £80+ for the call out plus any parts needed.

This fault only affects the oven’s ability to self-clean, if the costs are going to run into the hundreds then I will clean it myself from now on!!! The oven is 2 years old and was top of the range costing £1000.

Normally have no problems with AEG and their appliances run and run but this is a let down.

Anyone got any ideas on the fault or where I can find it or indeed a helpful engineer who will talk to me on the phone.

F1 means the door isn’t locking so it aborts the Pyro cycle for safety reasons.

Check the door is closed properly and that it locks when you start the Pyro process.

Either way, you’ll need an engineer to sort if you wish to use the cleaning function, but the costs shouldn’t be too bad, if you go to repairs@ and check for an engineer in yoru area, if the door lock unit has failed it’s around £35-£40.

    Dave.
