Product AEG oven B4101-4-m PNC 944185299 (around 5 years old)
I have a faulty timer control unit. I have purchased a new one to replace. I have removed the metal plate holding the oven functions switch, time control unit and temp selector switch from the oven housing giving me access to the wiring. I have to remove the front decor panel from the front of this plate but it is glass and appears to be bonded with silicone top and bottom attaching it to the metal back plate. There don’t appear to be any screws or clips fixing the decor panel to the back plate. Question. Have I missed the fixings or do I have to break the silicone to gain access to the back plate because the timer can only be replaced from the front when the decor panel is removed. I have asked several other Electrical techs and they have never met this prob before
