AEG pyro oven

AEG B5741-5-m pnc 94418121700. Looking for advice please from anyone with experience on these pyro ovens. As soon as oven is turned on the cooling fan comes on and within couple of seconds e04 appears(temp range of oven sensor exceeded) will also lock door sometimes. Checked temp sensor and getting a reading of approx 530ohms. Meggered elements and checked all stats. Had the benefit of this having a twin unit beside it which i cross referenced readings. I presume the board replacement is now the correct option. Also does anyone have a part no for module.Thank you.

assume you power board which is 899661 92 77-79 / 2

at what temp did you get 530 ohms on the ptc

that seems a bit low as most of these go down in resistance with temp rise so would expect to see it higher

you could try sticking a 1k resistor across the pins after you disconnect the ptc and see if it does not fault out

Thanks for reply. It was just room temp. Other identical oven gave a reading slightly higher of 540.

so you can be certain the sensor is correct because you have another one to compare

long shot have you checked sensor for earth fault ?
