ParticipantI have a AEG Santo 72358 KA Refrigerator which is “side by side” and linked to an AEG Arctis 75248 GA Freezer.
My problem is that the fridge door has “dropped” and, from a visual perspective, the handles of the two units no longer align properly. The lower hinge seems to simply be a threaded bolt with a lock nut for height adjustment. I suspect that the thread on the bolt has stripped and it therefore no longer responds to adjustment. The fridge continues to operate normally.
I have found a number of sites selling spare parts but I’m not sure what part(s) I need and how easy they might be to replace. Does anyone have a diagram showing the door hinge assembly / parts listing and/or knowledge of how easy a job this may be?
Any advice appreciated.
thanks

If you could give me the Product number please, I’ll see what I can find for you.

The PNC number for the product (I’m assuming that is the product number) is 922046226.
Many thanks

Lower Grey Hinge: 2056952068
Lower White Hinge Pin: 2054479023
M5x16 Zinc Plated Screw: 140714007
Buffer: 2080354026It should just be a question of slackening the 3 hinge screws & with the weight of the door supported, replacing whatever part you believe to be at fault. The hinge itself is not, I believe, height adjustable to any great degree. Probably the thread of either the pin or hinge has stripped.
Are you sure the door liner where it meets the hinge pin is ok?

Thanks for that information.
I agree that the thread is probably stripped (from what I can see whilst lying on the floor it looks like it!).
My problem is what is the part called? Is it the zinc plated screw (since it has a thread) or is really the “hinge pin”(although it is not white). Are there any further documentation or diagrams that might explain it better?
The door itself looks undamaged.[/img]

I don’t have any diagrams that I can send you, I’m afraid. Neither parts are costly so it may be just as well to get both pin & screws.

Seems like a cunning plan! I think the grey hinge bracket also has a thread and so I think it might be best to replace all parts.
As you say they are not expensive and compared to the overall cost of the units seems the right thing to do.
Many thanks for all your help.
