Hi Sparky. the most likely fault will be the defrost element, when these fail the ice in the evaporator builds up and stops the air flow to the fridge. The fridge runs solely off the air being blown up from the freezer evaporator. There are 2 heaters on this product check them both one is wrapped around the freezer evaporator the other is stuck(double sided tape) on the panel directly below the evaporator. The sticky heater is a doddle to change pity i cant say the same about the other one.

    Hope this helps.

Ive got an evaporator heater to change. It looks a nightmare. Any tips on how to do one without fracturing the pipework to evaporator? Suppose i need to prop it up or suspend it somehow?

Thanks for the info Colin. Didnt think pipework to evaporator would survive bending it down to the floor. Not an easy job but cust happy and no hissing noises.

Glad to hear all went OK, did a zanussi about 15 years ago got the hissing spent another couple of hours repairing pipe but never got anymore work from customer. still wonder if it ever worked afterwards.
