i have noticed our FF is forming a small amount of ice at the bottom of the freezer box. Reading around it looks like the drain is blocked. I’m fairly competent with diy, so I would like to discuss this model with someone who has prior experience.
I did do a defrost, but it was only long enough to remove the ice.

I forgot to mention, everyday and usually in the early morning it makes about six quite loud knocking sounds, or a cracking sound.

The noise will be the ice cracking during defrost.

The drain will be blocked and iced up

You will need to get someone to look after your food.

Turn it off and leave the doors open and let it defrost for 48 hours.

Then check above the compressor drain tray it will have a rubber non return valve that could be stuck together not letting the defrosted water to drain.

Or it will have a pipe leading from the Drain and fitting to the bottom of the drain tray.
If it has a pipe you need to take it of and clean under the tap in the sink to clear any blockage,
Then refit it, This should clear the problem.
