I have an AEG competence U3100-4. The other day I was cleaning it with a steam cleaner and stupidly forgot to turn off at the switch, as I was using the light of the oven to see. Next thing I know all my electics go out! I went to the main fuse box and flipped the switch on again. Now when i turn the oven on again(after I reset the time as I would normally do if a power cut has occured) it trips the switch again and the electrics go again. The top oven works fine and heats as normal. What could I have done? Is it the fuse? (If so whereabouts is it) Or is it the element? I have been reading through other similar problems but none seem to fit my problem? Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated! Don’t really want to pay ££££ for an electrician when it might be an easy job like element. Thanks in advance!

Water in the electrics! Not a clever move but may dry out after a few days if left well alone ?
