I hope someone can help with this as I don’t fancy forking out for a new one at this time of year.

Problem is no heat. I suspect one of the two safety devices in the ceramic holder to the left of the element. Unfortunately this comes as part of the element which is now obsolete according to Wash Vac. Does anyone know the value of these items? Bearing in mind this is my own tumble dryer and I’m quite prepared to pick up the pieces if it all goes tits up…..

Your are right about the heater, it is obsolete but the thermal link which may be the part you require is available pn:8996474081396 the bad news is that it is £48.

Ah! the joy’s of being to lazy to hang out me washing.

Thanks for that, £48 is better than a new unit. But to be on the safe side i will change the other two stats as well. That should keep it going for another couple of years. Come to think of it i got it for nothing anyway……….. 😀
