I have been looking at dishwasher reviews on the web – according to French consumer magazine Que choisir? and Australian Product Review AEG dishwashers appear to be the best at cleaning (e.g. Miele 1230 got 77, top-of-the-range Bosch 72 and AEG 80860 81 out of 100). Do you think that is because they use more water than Miele/Bosch? The new AEG model (80870) has a new 40-70 degree Automatic programme – sounds interesting, but will that work? Should I go for an AEG or a MIELE if I want excellent cleaning then?
    Many thanks

    Hi Andrea

The AEG will give many years of good service and it`s well made. If you can go the extra mile on price then the Miele will give an even longer life span, whilst giving exceptional results. Either way both are good machines with ready available service should the need arise.

To be honest Andrea no matter which make and model you decide on, it will do the job. There’s very little science involved in washing dishes in a automatic machine, there really isn’t. Problem is these days is that programmes take forever to complete (many as long at 2 hours!!!!) So choosing a machine that gives several variable programme options coupled with the lowest energy rating per wash has to be the way to go. 🙂

AEG, BOSCH or MIELE?????……Your choice, you can’t go wrong with any one out of that. 😉

As I think you reside in Italy? The model numbers you quote are not necessarily compatible to those sold on the UK market? So comparison is difficult as a result. 😕

That was my first impression as well Martin. But they are in fact UK models 😕 .
