    AEG W1259 (PNC 914 002 451 00) occasionally stops mid cycle with water in the drum and gives 5 ‘beeps’. Switching to spin (or any other program) will pump out the water without any problem.

    I’ve checked the filter and it is all clear.

    Anyone know what 5 beeps means?

    The model number was a ‘special’ for Euronics, but it was a clone of a standard AEG washer – unfortunately I can’t remember what the standard model number was.

    5 beeps will be E50-something on your Zanussi clone……… (sorry). Fault relates to the motor and associated circuitry.

    Power off, if investigating.
