AEG Wash M/c 6100 – Has Door Interlock Changed?

This problem is obviously a door interlock problem.

Part number is 8996452012314

I looked on Connections which also gave an alternative DOR5224. I ordered DOR5224 – much cheaper.

When fitted it did not work – dead. It slightly differed in design – differences that make no difference to physical fit. Is an ETA + numbers on body tallied. But what appears to be the problem is the internal circuitry seems to have changed. Will the genuine one be the same?

Has anyone experienced this? Is there a mod? Like Hotpoint interlocks, do I do 180 with the plug?

Any insights would be appreciated. I am just off to fit a similar switch to an LG machine – fingers crossed.

It’s the pattern interlock, they don’t work on some models (been there 😳 )

The genuine one will be OK.

You can use the pattern one on the next LG you come across 😉

You have confirmed my suspicions.

I went to the LG I mentioned above and the interlock was exactly the same. But unfortunately it was not the interlock that was a problem ( even though it was showing code `de` for door int problem). I now suspect the control board.

Would you have a pt number for one, it is an LG Model WD-1253FHB.

6871EC1045D or 6871EC1008K, one supersedes the other 🙂
