ParticipantAEG L75670WD 914604801. The original fault reported was the machine stops and door lock clicks after 5 minutes.
The dryer element had an insulation fault but not enough to cause a problem, when the element heated up the fault increased as expected, the door lock clicked and machine reset.
I disconnected the element and tested the machine and it appeared to work OK so left the element isolated so the machine could be used as just a washing machine until I got the replacement element.
The following day I had a call from the customer to say the machine now runs for about 1hr 15mins then does the same.
I’ve returned to carry out further tests and found the dryer element has an insulation fault that goes down to about 145 M’Ohm as the machine gets hotter during the wash. I disconnected the dryer motor and ran again and the machine still does the same. It appears to happen at the start of the second rinse.
Running the test program the machine give a Ed8 error at C10 (with everything reconnected).
When testing on the first call the dryer motor ran. If this is linked to the Ed8 error why would it cause the machine to fail during the second rinse not the dry program?December 30, 2020 at 8:17 pm #474051electrofix
ModeratorEd8 is a dryer motor tacho absent
could the dryer motor be your fault. the dryer motor is activated on some of the rinses to help clean the condensor

DaveThe dryer motor ran the first time I tested it on the dry cycle but it didn’t seem to run in the test program today.
If it should activate during some of the rinses, it would explain why the fault appears when it does.Looks like I’m going to have to go back and double-check the dryer motor.
Thanks for your help again Dave.
