Just visited an integrated AEG Washer:
    Mod L10500V1 PNC 914510116 (3 yrs old)

After the customer did a 95 degree wash, the display kinda died – all lights on on the vertical stacks, horizontal lights dimly flickering, numerical display with odd bars showing….will not do anything. Can’t run any diag as display is nuts.

Looking at spares lists (electrolux site) I see a User Interface Board and a EWM2000EVO control board (which is labelled as “configured”, yet the parts diag says it must be config’d “using code No. 990” whatever the hell this means…)

Which board should I go for? I would opt for the User Interface Board, what do you say, chaps?

I have not inspected looms etc. as machine is a pig to get out. I lose patience daily with these integrated machines…should charge a fat surcharge.

Advice appreciated. Is this perhaps a Zanussi build?

if this is a zanussi then check the edge connectors on board i have had this problem before. but i am sure a zanussi expert will let you know on here.

    thanks chris.

Yep, sounds identical to a zan i had lately..tighten front panel connections with a pin.

Removed front panel PCB, cleaned all connectors, cleaned selector switch. No change.

Removed the module (top, right hand side) which is an EWM 2000 EVO. Lo, clear signs of a blow-out. Looks like one of the tiny resistors has vaporised.

So it’s a new module, which (it says) is pre-configured. I hope they are right!

If you have not already done so? I would advise investing in a TDS disc from electrolux – loads of makes and models on the disc including how to configure electrolux modules 😀

    Excellent investment @ £20+ :rolls:
    Brian.
