Sounds like it is showing an E52 error which is “No signal from the tacho”, I assume that you have checked the carbon brushes?

If it is E52 it’s a common enough problem and can be a right b”*!:;r to diagnose accurately.
The following thread may help to give some pointers – or it could just complicate it for you. Probably best just to read the posts from repman and captaincaveman1 within it.

But do you know what 5 Orange & 2 Red lights flashing means?

Well that’s how the more modern Lux ones signal a fault code although I don’t remember whether that = 52 or 25. But E52 is a common fault code whilst I’ve never heard of anyone seeing a E25.
If you’ve got an account with Connect you will normally find all the manuals and diagnostic details on their “mediator.” If not, pm me your email address and I’ll see if I can send them to you.

I do have a Connections account but how do you get into mediator?October 10, 2012 at 5:59 pm #382644leavemetogetonwithit
ParticipantRe: AEG Washing Machine
Home page, left hand menu, washing machine, AEG, choose or type in model and that should get you in. With model be aware you can get LAV*** etc. or just L*** with some others.
