The last modern Zanussi I investigated only has a device similar to a triac to power the pump, there’s no relay. If you trace the wiring from pump to board you will find which device it is and you can check if it’s short circuited.

Phidom is correct most modern machines use small triacs to power pumps, door locks and valves etc with the current on these components being very low they do not a heat sink and look no more than a black blob on the pcb. they can either be on three legs with a blob on the end or more common these days is to surface mount them directly to the board.
these are easily available for main electronic suppliers or pinch one from an old board thet you have lying around
hope this helps

It shouldn’t arise one fault signal for that?

Are you able to renew the surface mount ones without any special equipment? I’ve never tried that but I should think you need a very steady hand with the iron and some decent tweezers!

If you can solder the start switch back onto a WMA front board, you can do surface mount stuff!
