    All of a sudden my AEG 40850 dishwasher is not using any salt. It is
    topped up but I am worried by continually using the appliance I may be causing damage down the line. How can I drain and check connections or are we talking engineer?

    Hi.

    I would suggest that you test the regeneration valve coil for resistance. If it is open circuit then there is your problem.
