KeymasterRe: AGM
I was trying SO hard to ignore it but I just couldn’t.
I just can’t go it when he has a dig over people working bl00dy hard to try and help others. Even if it’s not ideal or doesn’t suit you, you should respect the efforts.
And, if you do have concerns, you don’t voice them in such a public manner, that’s WELL out of order. You do that when there’s no options left but to do that.
I’m seething about it as you can probably tell.

why not put up a post AGM in the WTA forum and discuss in that forum only ,then he is starved of the oxygen he seems to require ,And if he insists on posting in the general forum we put reply up saying that as this is regarding the TA we will happily discuss it ….in the TA forum.

Unfortunately, he has full access ATM to the WTA forum: although he will be preaching to the already converted….. 😉 I think the AGM thread will have to continue in the General forums to try to encourage new members to come to the meeting. Hopefully his comments will be taken with a pinch of salt. :rolls:
I agree Ken, he is ignoring that airing his thoughts on funding can be so easily done with PM’s – no need to go public. He’s just ‘on a mission’.Steve.

KeymasterI’d better not post much of anything now as I think I may have torn a strip off. I may have actually gone too far.
No, belay that, I didn’t go far enough! 😆
It just so irks me when he pulls that $h1t, Im sure he just does it to wind me up. Problem is, he winds up a lot of others as well as me with that crap too.
Or, here’s another good idea for the funds…. how much do you think a hit would cost? One old codger, not too good at moving so not a hard target, surely it can’t be that expensive? 😆

I give up.
I’ve drafted three replys so far, all of which ended in “kill….”

Well I’d love for Martin to clear up some facts.
For example…
How does UKW benefit from the TA exactly?
What commercial advantage is there to UKW for sinking time and money into it?
Where is the tie-up between ISE and the WTA?
Where does ‘build them better to last longer, less waste and buy an ISE machine’ come from and what has it to do with the WTA?
Where is that message promoted by the TA?
27 members, where did that come from, that’s only the ones that bothered to vote in that poll, there are a lot more members than that.
Discounts on ISE, well nobody else gets any so why should the TA?
But apparently these are all “incontrovertible facts” according to Martin. Essentially what he is trying to do is to make out that the WTA is the “ISE Sellers Club” and that’s all it is and that somehow UKW/ISE make money from the TA. I reckon that’s the crux of it from his perspective.
Pity it’s wholly untrue.
For me, there are good reasons for the TA to exist as it allows the repairers agenda to be furthered in areas where either UKW Ltd can’t or would struggle to do it. Beyond that, there is no advantage to UKW or ISE really and all that is, is helping the repairers.
Commercial advantage, nil.
Cost, not large, but it does cost in terms of time as well as a small financial amount.
ISE benefit of helping, less than zero. Again, other than staying with the program of trying to help repairers.
I just don’t understand what the guy’s problem is so I am therefore left to conclude only, from his whittering, that he just likes to cause trouble and is full of his own self importance.
That said, there’s a skeleton in Martin’s closet that may explain some of this and, if he’s not careful, it may get dragged out and dusted off.
