HELLOOOO!….
Can we get some input from everyone? UKW meeting is just a few weeks away and I for one would like to know when I need to commit myself….
Personally I think we should get together before everyone arrives so we can all be up to speed should any of us be asked any questions about on-going issues etc without having to say ”I dont know, ask ….”
Just my opinion! Ade 😀

Friday evening as we did last year; most people went home soon after the general meeting anyway. I have to get back early Saturday morning, like Ade.

Hi all,
Looks like it’ll be the Friday evening then…..
One thing on the agenda for me will be the COP. I’d appreciate it if we could go through the responce from the OFT step by step and talk about the points raised and then agree on what we do to ‘satisfy’ their issues.
Adrian 🙂

Hi guys
I am going to post later in the TA thread in the general forum ,it will be a plug for the WTA it will mention i.d cards, discount fuel, vauxhall discount ,bryan looking at the consumer legislation , trade guide (work in progress I know ).. have I missed anything, ?
how do you feel about a mention of the COP or do we want to keep our powder dry on that one
also Ian has managed to persuade SEME to send someone to the meeting I will collar him and try and get some extra discount for WTA members (one of our original aims was spares so that will fit nicely )
Ian has a WTA slot in the afternoon ,I suggest that this should be an overview of what we have done and are doing and are hoping to do .

Martin’s inference is typical of his general attitude on this site. I must admit to being insulted by his facetious meanderings on many occasions. Like most of us on this site, he is a one – man – band so should appreciate that others have genuine worries and concerns; but are not able to be flippant about the future as they are not close to retiring. In fact, the WTA was set up for people looking toward a brighter future; those who want to further this trade and get it the recognition it rightly deserves.
If Martin doesn’t want to try, then that’s fine. But don’t tell others that they are wrong to try.
The Subs forum, as it was, catered for people interested in UKW and the trade as a whole. I fail to see the distinction between the Subs forum and the WTA forum. I would be happy to refund Martin’s subs out of my own pocket – his input has become so negative and condescending it helps no-one.Sorry, but I had to say it. He reminds me of the Harry Enfield ‘dad’ character – “You don’t want to do it like that”…….:nono:
