Recently moved into new home. The AKZ 146 oven appears to be cooler than the indicated temperature.
Should the cooling fan run continually during cooking? – It is doing at the moment.

Is there a thermocouple connected to the controller which may need replacing / calibrating.

    Thank you.

Generally speaking, they will usually either work or not work, there’s little in between.

Almost any domestic oven will cycle by at least 10-15{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} around the set temperature and each has it’s own characteristics for example, I found that a Smeg oven tended to run hot, others run colder and so forth. Airflow patterns change and so on as well. Therefore cooking in them is often just a case of getting used to the particular quirks of each as there are differences, just as it is for cookwares.

Those sensors cannot be calibrated, there is no adjustment.

And, yes, the cooling fan will run virtually all the time.

    Thank you.
It just feels incredibly out of temperature…even the Mrs has said so.
Strange how, in an oven, there needs to be a cooling fan too…seems a bit silly but I’m not a design engineer.

    It’s actually very sensible.

The cooling fan draws in cool air from the room, blows it over the cavity and onto the control panel and door meaning that they stay reasonably cool to touch. Without it, they’d be toasting hot.

That’s why they run almost all of the time.

Ah, that makes sense..I thought it may be blowing back into the oven and cooling my Yorkie puds.

    Thanks again
