We have a fridge freezer which is part of a fitted kitchen we inherited from previous house owners. On Monday it started beeping and I thought maybe I had left it open but when I checked it both doors were shut and there was a “AL” warning showing on the display.
At this time the fridge and freezer both seemed ok so I turned the beeping sound off using the mute button and ignored it 😯
Before bed I noticed that food in the freezer compartment was defrosting so I transferred it out to our spare freezer. Milk etc in fridge was still cold.
Yesterday after work I did some examining of the now empty freezer. The fan still goes and it blows cold air into the freezer section. I tested it by putting a small cup of water in over night and when I checked it this morning it was only half frozen (it was set at -20)
It is a self defrosting freezer and so no build up of ice inside.
I haven’t had time to take the fitted kitchen covers off so don’t know what make/model it is yet.
Any ideas what problem could be?
Re: AL warning – Fridge ok, Freezer not cold enough
Have a look for the label in the fridge take the veg boxes out to see if there is a label it should have the model number on it or it may be behind the bottom drawer in the freezer.
