Get lots of calls for repairs to Candy single fan ovens but I ‘am thinking of refusing to repair them anymore.
Only oven that I get call backs from.
Original fault is normally fan running no heat, I have tried fitting the homark 3 turn 2.5kw fan elements but they seem to start producing rcd faults.
Tried the Candy 2.2kw 3 turn elements but they are even worse, element blows up or starts rcd fault.
Recently tried replacing the fan blade, original blade is very small, my thinking is it is not taking the heat out of the element, element overheats and starts producing a short to earth.

Does anyone know how to repair these ovens?

Have you tried Qualtex elements? So far (touch wood) I haven’t had a problem with Candy & Homark fan ovens by fitting their elements. 🙂

Bosch & Neff yes, Candy…not so far at least!

Fan size has little to do with the issue insofar as I can see, neither too the use and abuse they receive. (i.e some folks actually leave the oven door open to heat their bedsit during the winter months…oh yes!

The usual incontrovertible fact why elements have such a short life is simply ‘cos they are cr$p built….END OF! 😈

    Common Candy element is 2000w.
    Common Homark element is 2500w.
