I’ve a DeDietrich Dod788 oven. The top oven is working fine.
The bottom oven is not working at all. I can select any mode to try top, back, bottom element and none will heat up.

The back element was replaced 6months ago so I think that should be fine anyway.
I’ve set the oven to 45 degrees and used a heat gun to heat the thermostat and the temp alarm bleeps and stops flashing so I assume the temp sensor is all ok.

The fan is not spinning either.

Any ideas what this could be?

Heat gun? Blimey that’s a silly move. 🙁

The cooker clock switched to manual is it?

It’s a digital oven…. You know the modern ones 😛
Heat gun – why is that silly, ovens do get hot.

Looking for advice on what the problem could be please.

Check that the digital clock is not set on Auto then.

Ovens heat to 300C way less than the 1000+C of a ruddy heat gun. So you may have stuffed the thermostat/sensor unit with your antics! 🙁

    I hope that helps:wink:

No auto mode etc. you can select the mode and the cooling fan starts up, blowing air out the oven but the elements don’t heat and internal fan doesn’t start.

The temp sensor display was set to 40c and that’s all I heater it too. Maybe 50c we’ll safe….

    So, two likely problems:

    1) the thermal cut out has blown?

    2) the digital timer/clock has failed?
