Looked at the WIDL codes but doesn’t cover it! 🙁

HOTPOINT WF540PB washer – when switched on every darn neon flashes, all five down left side, all five along top, plus the on/off. Goes on for a minute or two, then stops. Machine won’t do anything. Unplug, plug in, starts all over again.

Should we throw the PCB away, bin the machine, or pray to some deity?

    Thanks for any help. 😀

Quite a common PCB failure that. 😥

I this an EEprom board, and if so, can you buy it pre-programmed, or do you have to get a smartcard and adapter (or join Merloni to get the laptop and software!!!)??

Also I will give EMW a call tomorrow.

Thanks Tony – I’ll be in touch

I take it the board on the front panel is never at fault, and we are talking about the main board in bottom right rear corner?? (Dumb question probably!) 😯

Thanks Tony – got the board from EMW (with pre-programmed Eeprom) and machine now working fine. Happy customer.

What would we do without guys like EMW and QER ???

    Regards
