Hello,
The above fridge has a water and ice dispenser. The water side was just a trickle,
it doesn’t have a filter.
I traced the problem to the dual water inlet valve which was blocked with copper sulphate residue from inside the copper pipes. The solenoid is in good order.
I have cleaned both valves and refitted them, the water now runs freely but I cant stop it . I have obviously reassembled the valve(s) incorrectly. The main valve body comprise two outlets and one inlet, each outlet with a separate solenoid one for ice and the other for water. I extracted the solenoid coil which surrounds the plunger which in turn encloses the actuating spindle and spring. All ok so far?
I pulled the plunger out of the valve body along with an O ring seal. below that is a cap with a central hole surrounded by about 6 smaller holes. Under this cap is a 10mm dia rubber disk like a cistern washer. On one valve this disk has a central hole about 1 mm dia and is about 4 mm thick, the other valves washer does not have a hole in it and is about 2.5 mm thick. There is also a plastic disk in each valve the same diameter as the rubber disks but about 1mm thick, neither of which has a central hole. Does anyone have an assembly drawing for these seals. I have tried most options without out success and I do not know which side the thicker washer with the hole fits.
Pheww it takes longer to write and explain but maybe someone knows the order and the assembly procedure for these seals. Unfortunately there is not a manufacturers name on the valve.
regards.
