This is a Whirlpool built fridge freezer (859511015000) which currently dipenses water from everywhere except the water dispenser! Actually it dribbles out of the bottom of the freezer door…
The problem is access to behind the control panel…there are two screws in the bottom of the drip tray which were both rusted beyond recognition so after blood sweat and tears with cobalt drills and left -handed drill bits they finally surrendered but the control panel seems as rigidly fixed as it was before.
Before I start prying with screwdrivers and damaging the stainless steel is there any particular technique to get it off?
