I have a beko American fridge freezer. whilst the LED states the freezer is -24 and fridge is 4° the food in the freezer is no longer frozen. it has been defrosted and turned off and turned back on. it’s still showing a freezer temp of -24 and the lower section of freezer is holding a frozen atmosphere but the ice cubes I’ve put in the top are still water – a week after putting them in there. what can I try next

The fault will be the fan in the freezer.
You will need to fit a new fan motor.
The fan is at the top behind the panel inside the freezer.

If you do not have an Icemaker on your model it is not that difficult.
The fan motors are not expensive for the Beko.
Most appliance repairers should be able to replace it for you if you feel it is too difficult.
If you have an Icemaker then it is not so easy as you have to remove the Icemaker first.
A good refrigeration engineer will find this easy to do.

thank you so much bob. no it doesn’t have an ice maker. I just baffled as to why it isn’t showing an increase in temperature if the fan isn’t sending cooled air round, but it’s still stating -24 although its very cold inside the freezer, its still not enough to freeze water which is on the top shelf

The temperature sensor is on the evaporator so this will be -24 but the freezer needs the cold air recirculating to freeze the items in the freezer.
This make of American fridge freezer rarely has problems except for the fan motor.
Sometimes you can get a PCB fail but then nothing works.
