Hi all and hope I can get some help with this.
I have an LG American fridge that the fridge part has just stopped cooling… The freezer works fine and is above. I am aware that freezer blows the cool air into the compartment below for the fridge but does not seem to be doing this at all. There does not seem to be any excess icing at the back which could have blocked the airflow so I am in need of advice of potential next steps.
The fridge is an LG GR572 tvf.
I need to know if it worth trying to repair or replacing.

Try a 48 hour defrost.
Turn it off and leave the doors open on the fridge and freezer.
When you turn it back on it should cool down normally after a couple of hours.
If it does not the you may have a fan fault.
If it works ok but the problem returns in a few weeks then you will have a defrost system fault.
Both faults should be worth repairing if it is in good condition.
