american style fridge freezers

Im looking to buy a american style fridge freezer the side by side style with water and ice.
I would like one that fits in with the standard 600mm deep units, does anyone have any recomendations on make and model?

For value for money try LG. http://www.lge.co.uk

I think the depth may be a problem though as most US style refrigeration will stand proud of standard work surfaces.

Hi Rob,

You will find that more and more manufacturers are moving towards including the larger type appliances to thier product ranges.
Bosch, Whirlpool, Maytag, these should be worth a try !

Yes and a lot of the cabinets are made by the same people: Maytag, from the USA.

Whirlpool, LG and I think Samsung also make their own but most others you’ll see in the UK are generally the Matag cabinets re-branded and re-clad. Amana is also owned by Maytag, so they’re all just Maytags as well.

I guess it maybe best to get the fridge and get the kitchen people to sort out the kitchen around it, where it is going the depth is not a problem just we want it to look like its supposed to be there.Nice one on LG site but I know i could not get that past the wife!

I`d go for the samsung rs21 range.Good reliability and simple to repair,If needed.Just watch for delivery damage.
