American Style Washing Machine

I have had the American Style washing machine and tumble dryer for some time and apart from large loads, I love the un fussiness of them – hot, warm, cold – stop, start – nothing more. The time has come to replace both items and I have just found that Whirlpool have stopped supplying these types to the UK. They were unable to give an energy rating, so according to UK rules, they can supply them no more 😥 .

Does anyone know where I can still buy them new – or an equivalent?

Just checked all the suppliers we deal with to no avail. A quick Google search reveals not a lot either. So it looks like good old Yellow pages and let the fingers do the walking.

Please don’t shed tears over that fact Sharon. Those machines were notoriously unreliable and caused endless grief to their owners getting Whirlpool out to fix them every few weeks. My next door neighbour lies testament to that fact. and I did my back in helping him get the machine out into the street for the council to take it to the tip. It was just 3 1/2yrs old….!! He now has a large load Bosch front loader. 😀
