American Whirlpool fridge Fridge freezer ‘CF’ Error.

We have a Whirlpool double door American fridge freezer that was origonaly dead.
We have changed BOTH PCB’s as it started clicking after we changed the bottom one. The first complaint was ‘Dead’.
Now after about 10 mins of running from start up the display errors ‘CF’ and if you were to try calling for water it will only give a very short 1 seccond pulse. The water line is not frozen up and the cooling fan by the condensor is running.
Had a look through the error codes section of the site and couldn find anything about this.
Anyone got any ideas please?

The whirlpool fault code description says:

Code “CF” blinking on the freezer display, RED alarm LED blinking and buzzer ON.

Communication failure between Main Board and User Interface.
Verify the connections.

Replace the User Interface and if the problem persist to replace the Main Board.

It is also worth checking the connector at the top of the freezer door under the hinge cover, not unusual to have a bad connection on these causing this problem. If not its maybe a dodgy board, I have had a few in the past.

Also worth noting, now the cold weather is with us , if you are fitting the board first thing in the morning and it has been sat in your cold van overnight , this may affect the use / display until it reaches an ambient temperature
