Have tried on a wash, drain and spin cycles, and depending on selection, it will start to fill or start to drain and then stop after a few secs.

The arrangement of neons on this machine differs from photos I’ve seen on line, of the same machine.

Starting from the LHS there are:

A column of three lights, from top to bottom, ‘standby’, ‘run’, ‘end’
A row of five lights, from L to R, ’95’,’60’,’40’,’30’,’cold’
A column of three lights, from top to bottom, ‘1000’, ‘400’,’0′
A row of four lights indicating progress of cycle.

When powered up, standby flashes, end is illuminated, and 60 and cold are illuminated. Shortly after power up, the door locks without the machine being started.

Holding the standby button in for a couple of seconds stops its light from blinking, and the end light and the temp lights go out.

Pressing run, the machine operates for a few seconds, then run, cold and 1000 start to flash rapidly, before the machine stops operating and the lights revert to their initial state.

I have checked continuity of all components, and checked – as far as I can with my meter on 20Mohm – for shorts and found nothing.

I neglected to note the values of the tacho and thermistor but I did get a reading from both. Oh, and I forgot to check the pressure switch.

Any ideas gratefully received. Personally I think the PCB is stuffed although there was no evidence of burning etc.

first thing to strike me is the door lock problem

door should not lock untill machine starts

check triac on board for short circuit
