    I have a fridge freezer

    Model Shrieber AMP6855
    Seial No 20043719476-038.03003-03 C1

Every two weeks or so, there’s a massive build up on the evaporator in the freezer and the fridge stops cooling

I’ve checked the fan in freezer, and that’s working fine.

I think its down to the fact that the heater on the evaprator isn’t kicking in every few hours, but not sure of why this could be happening

Could anyone reccomend how I could test the heater, or the themostat.

Also is the thermostat located behind the fridge bulb?

Any advice on this fridge freezer would help. I really suspect that there is something really trivial that can be fixed, but just cannot find where the problem is.

    Thanks

    Garry

This is a fully electronic controlled fridge-freezer, there is no thermostat but you have an electronic sensor (a thermistor) that measures the temp. So either a sensor, defrost heater or main pcb fault.

Cheers, would the thermister be the blue looking component that is located behind the buld in the fridge section?

    Thanks

    Hi

Have you checked that the doors are sealing correctly ? When you close the doors is there a wood on wood thud or a soft noise ?.

if its a thud then you may have to adjust the door panels to allow the seals to make full contact.

    Hi,

I’m pretty sure I have a good seal, but I think I will take the doors off and see what happens in a couple of weeks, at least I can elimate that if the frosting reappers

    Thanks again
