Semi-integrated, rating label long since scrubbed clean :rolls: As far as I can tell, it’s a very old Bosch machine with a fancy control panel.

All I need is a salt cap. Three lug job, third of a turn to close, green float and window in the top.

    Any clues welcomed!

    Chris.

    😕 Three lug job?
    Pic seems to show eight?

Internal lugs in the cap, Mike.

IIRC any of the really old H0tpoint (Bosch built) machines have the same cap…maybe Jim can help?

I would respectfully suggest that it could be worth trying an e-mail to
    mks-spares@bshg.com
    with the pics attached.

Hoi…whats with the ‘really old & Jim might help’ are you trying to tell me something. 😆

All the Hotpoint ones from the Bosch era are screwed AFAIK.

I think it pre-dates the SMS and early 78 machines – the filters are all wrong, although the spray arm set-up seems similar.

Seems a pity to give up on it because of a salt cap (The glasses were white with the salt leeching back into the machine).

Couldn’t you just get rid of the salt altogether? Or seal up the cap with self amalgamating tape?

Maybe it’s time to rely on the dreaded zillion-in-one tablets until it dies a graceful death? :con:

What we need is BSH-(The Force is strong in this one)Man……

Our water is very soft up here, but salt is still good, if only a couple of times a year, so I’d rather not bodge it.

Not to mention the fact that this machine belongs to the second biggest property agent account that I’ve got…….

    No pressure then!

There’s a ancient Bosch on my patch that looks almost the same as that Gaggenau……I’ll try and find her phone number and see if I can get a model number for you Chris. I think it has the round filter set up IIRC. I saw it about 2 months ago in the kitchen while I was repairing their Zanussi washer.
    Fingers crossed………

The other possibility is the old Bauknecht GSF1130GB salt cap. It has lugs rather than a thread. Worth a look………..

I have worked on few of these old Gaggenau dishwashers, but not for a while.
I think they are made by AEG but I’m not sure. They certainly predate the BSH acquisition of Gaggenau.
I’ll make a few phone calls and try and dig out an ENR.
