Annoying telephone salesmen

How many of you are getting bombarded with pushy telephone sales calls?

And how do you deal with it?

I’m getting 5 to 10 calls a day trying to offer telephone services, fuel cards etc. 👿

There used to be a telephone preference service that you could subscribe to to filter out these calls. Anyone got any suggestions.

Normally leave them on hold a while, they get quickly fed up and hang up ! the upshot is that they hardly ever call back .

I’ve had a couple of calls from a firm trying to sell me a stairlift!
I told them I can manage the stairs OK but seeing as they were kind enough to ring would they like me to tell them about the environmental advantages of the new ISE 10 washing machine.
Needless to say it was a short conversation. 😆

double glazing salesman…..oh yes i said, wonderfull he said, what kind of house he asked, usual semi i said, how many rooms he asked …3 bed, lounge, kitchen, bathroom, shower room, utility room extension, etc i said, how many windows he asked….hangon i said i’ll go and count…..left the phone and went into the garden to continue emptying a botte of chilled white wine…..no window sale today methinks

TPS & FPS are about as useless as trying to slice bread with a baseball bat. Businesses are powerless in preventing a durge of cold callers trying it on. :rolls:

Just deal with cold callers quickly by telling them something they don’t want to hear. Like for example: Someone phones to say he can save you a small fortune on your mobile phone bills? Then tell him you have a ‘Pay as you go’ phone, that you bought a £10 phone card 5 years ago and still have £8 credit left! 😈
