    Hi, my tumble dryers not heating. After doing a search on this site (great site by the way), I take it, its the thermostat. Could someone tell which one i would need for a Proline TDC6A condenser, & would it be easy to fit. Thanks.

    Goods news is that that is a Hotpoint produced machine so parts are readily available, in the Shop part No: 1701583. The degree of difficulty depends on your expertise and we have no way of knowing that. Please make sure you remove the plug if you intend to proceed further.

    BTW. If you do obtain the stats, handle the green spot one with care. 😉

    Thanks for the above, bought & swap thermostats, & it worked great for a mth, but now it doesnt seem to be heating up properly. Theres some heat, but it takes all afternoon to dry a load, instead of hr. Amy ideas on what the problem is? Thanks again

    Yes, probably you’ve fitted them the wrong way round 💡

    The one with the ‘Green Spot’ should be on the LEFT as you look at the fitting. 😉
