another hp wd440

    eventually gave in and have hotpoint coming to this one.

    everying tests out ok, but dryer just wont heat.

    checked all terminals, current is flowing all around dryer, and no error codes or flashing.

    just doesnt heat.

    coil type element and thats been swapped out and also so has the thermal fuse. ntc varies, but didnt have a spare to try,

    just cant fathom it so referred cust to h/p with presumed board failure.

    but before he arrives thought id ask some advice…

    I’ve never done this myself but your post makes me think it would be worth connecting an ammeter or clamp meter in line with dryer element.
    My guess is there isn’t current flowing through the element for any length of time and the fault probably will be somewhere on the board.
    If current was flowing your led screwdriver would only light up on one end of the element.

    pcb, and element according to hp. glad we referred her now… 🙂
