Another looking for Dishwasher, confused with mixed advice!?

Doing some research for a new dishwahser for my mum. Currently has a Hotpoint BF41 (11 years old!) which is basically dead now, and is looking for a new fully sized integrated one.

Been reading some topics on here amongst other places and it seems like theres alot of conflicting advice out there. Was looking at Bosch as people say still top dog (apart from Miele- which is too expensive for us) but other peope say no longer good as newer models are breaking down, poor build quality etc.

Been looking on “Which?” and one of their best buys is the Whirlpool
ADG 7560. It seems to be rated as highly as some more expensive other brands as well despite being about £300? Price range is about £300-500 and Appliance City looks like one of the best places to buy.

Moved you down to the Dishwasher support forum 😉

Leave the the new breed of Hotpoint alone, not the same as the old BF41 since Indesit took over the helm.

We stopped stocking Whirlpool products a few years ago, so I can’t really comment other than if it’s on sale for circa £300 it isn’t going to last long.

You really need to be looking at the £400 and plus area like the Bosch and Neff models. We get very few problems and with the two year warranty are always worth a good look at.

Hi Don,

I’m looking at the 2 brands you mentioned and there seem like 2 identically priced dishwashers around the £420 mark. How should I decide between them? They are:

Bosch SMV50E00GB
and
Neff S54M45X1GB

Also the people who we use for plumbing advised the Bosch SMV50E00GB anyway just at a more expensive price than what we can get so if we are getting them to do any fitting then probably best to go with that brand, though apparently the Neff is very easy to fit.

The Bosch and the Neff are essentially the same thing as they are both made by BSH ….

The only difference between them is the spec of each individual model. If you want the top end of those have a look at the Siemens…again the same product basically but with a bit more sound proofing and features etc.

If it were me I would have a Bosch, and choose the model by what features you think you might use…
