Anti-tangle Wash Disks?

Having replaced a broken drum paddle on a washing machine, it was broken by what was described by my customer as ‘anti-tangle washing disks’. 😕

Apparently she bought them a while back and places them in the drum with every wash load? Now I personally have not come across these before and wonder if anyone else has? My customer thinks she bought them from Betterware or some such company?

Has anyone got any information on these?

By posting this in the public forum, maybe it will stand as a warning to others of the consequences of placing certain ‘gizmo’s’ inside washing machines?

Like scrub balls and the like you mean, a myth in themselves IMHO.
