    this toaster was brought into our workshop for repair. could not repair it as it was an element broken. i was wondering how old it is & weather we should repair items like this now, with live elements exposed like that, its hardly up to safety standards.

    1960`s ❓ I remember Swan making one which had a floral pattern on it back in the 70`s

    Looks very much like a Kenwood Turn over toaster. My guess late 50s

    Had one of these myself in the eighties, bought from a car boot sale. Served me well for a few years, then I probably sold it on when I moved.
    Takes any thickness of slice and you know when it’s ready by the burning smell! (No worse than the grill on a cooker).
