We got this Kenwood chef in for repair, model # is A901,fitted new PCB unit (connections part# 5031680535181)it now runs but at only 1 speed. Any info will be welcomed, cheers.
Regards Chris…
if you look at speed control you have 2x hex head screws, this is to increase or decrease speed i cant remember which way does what but you will soon see ,you have to adjust speed on setting one to one rev/sec,most people used to do this live so be careful!!!!!!!!hope this helps nige
Thanx Nige ,already tried that method but it doesn’t make any difference. I carn’t figure out how the new pcb works cos it doesn’t have the moving arm on it that seems to touch the armature end .
It really depends on the original motor, if it was the very early kind, you need to replace the fan as well as the pcb, the new pcb is a conversion and works with a magnetic fan. The other option is to replace the motor with the new copse motor, but you also have to replace knob, new style module, lead and cover.

this is the connections number for the fan with tacho magnet on it which you will need for that type of board, this is assuming that you had the old type fan on there originally.
when sorted the planet hub should run at 61 to 68 revs per minute on low speed.
