I have seen three Fake black widows in my area in the last 18 months and whilst rummaging in a kitchen sink full of plastic bags looking for a power socket to turn off I got bitten on the arm, I ended up at the walk in centre and was told to take antihistamines but return if it got worse. For months afterwards I would just break out in massive red hives for no reason and have to take antihistamines and they would disappear in about 30 minutes.
I am very careful now because I am a scaredy cat around big spiders..attached is a short video of the actual spider that I filmed so that the doctor could see it, I dragged all of the bags out of the cupboards expecting to find a mouse but got a surprise when this bad boy fell onto the floor (I clearly hurt it whilst rummaging around), also a video of my arm afterwards.
Has anyone else suffered from one of these things?
