I need the push button assembly on the control panel but can’t find any spares anywhere. Thought Electra was now an Indesit brand but not listed on Partfinder.

Googled it but only brings back the washing machine for sales.

    Help! 🙁

Electra was an old Electricity board name, can be many different machines.

Goes back over 35 years, early ones where Zanussi but I have seen Phillips and Hotpoint ones, never was anything to do with Indesit AFAIK but they may have used them as well in the past.

That one is certainly not a GDA ( Hotpoint ) one, could be Phillips/Whirlpool or even Antonio Merloni. :con:

Well most of the Electricity Boards retail side was sold to Kingfisher (Comet) in 1996 so it’s getting on a bit. 😉

    Hi,

Thanks for all your input folks.

I know the history of Electra (been doing the biz since 1981 ), this one is only 18 months old approx. See Martin’s picture.

Haven’t got serial or prod number – it’s in a private school, going back on another job this week so will have another look.

Could be a Merloni one. But as I said, doing a search for spares finds nothing only the appliance sales or price comparisons. Will ask the school service manger where he bought it. Knowing the school it was probably only about 10 shillings!

    Thanks again,

    Laurence
