ParticipantMy customer has a Siematic cooker hood. She rang Siematic (I had never heard of them) and gave the model No. KE3XS and was told that was not one of their models and that it sounded like a Neff model. My customer has come up with a conspiracy theory that because it was sold by a well known kitchen supplier they put a Siematic sticker on the front to give it more kudos. Can anyone help here please.
Many thanks
Laurence

Siematic are a german kitchen manufacturer:
They don’t make appliances as far as I know, chances are, as your customer says, the cooker will be rebadged.
Maybe if she checked around the door for more numbers, it may well be a Neff or similar.

Laurence,
The Siematic Cooker Hood will almost certainly be a rebadged Neff/Siemens.
Parts a fairly universal in the range, whats gone wrong?

If it’s a cooker hood, why am I suggesting to check around the door eh ? 😳

My cooker hood has a door, well kind of, it looks like a cupboard door that lifts up 😆 So technically you were right Dave, If Laurence looks behind the door somewhere eh he should be getting close 😆

Thanks Dave, I knew what you meant 🙂 .
Thanks for the input Martin, I have not been to the hood yet (Mon). But the customer complains that there is no light (bulb or bulbs maybe) and that the fan does not work (switch or motor maybe). I have tried Appliance Care to see if they recognise model but no joy. I will see what I find Monday.
Incidentally I have been trying to trace a part for a Hotpoint 9567. The part does not show on the Partfinder breakdown. It is a bridgeing piece that sits between the ON/OFF switch itself and the the button you press with your finger. It slots inside the button which when pressed then pushes against the switch. I have ordered the button thinking it might come with that but it does not. The part sits between Nos.5 and 37 on the Partfinder drawing. No.5 is described as inner and outer but this refers to the rectangular button and the centre locking button. Any thoughts.
Thanks
Laurence

Yeah! Simply fit a ‘self-tapping screw’ into the push button will marry up against the on/off switch and BINGO!

If all is not working usually find one faulty bulb has blown fuse in plug/spur box 😉 , most kitchen fitters fit a three amp fuse which gets weak over a period of time with high motor starting amps then blows if bulb fails, fit a five amp fuse and all will be well 😀
