ParticipantHi everyone. Going to a lux washer dryer tomorrow. (dreading it!)
There seems to be a lot of problems with these reading the forums. Can anyone tell me how to get into diagnostics please? It may give me a head start.May 6, 2010 at 4:50 pm #319585robbo1973

Someone will be, just give the thread a ‘bump’ if no one answers. 😉

you access diagnostics by with the machine turned of and holding start/pause button and nearest option button turn selector one position clockwise hold down buttons until the leds begin to flash fault codes are displayed at position ten to clear fault code wilst in diagnostics hold start/pause button and nearest option button again it should then go to E00 to exit diagnostics turn selector knob to off again then on and off again it will be ready to go again after you have fixed fault in machine

Thank you very much Chris, especially at this time of night. I think its flashing E40 to the customer, which I believe relates to door lock. Then again need to check earth leakage on everything by the sounds of it!
Thank you.May 6, 2010 at 8:27 pm #319591chris211

Just an update folks. Been out to this one went into diagnostics after the help you all gave me.
E41 was displayed. Changed door lock as I had a good second hand one. Still the same. Checked and disconnected dryer heaters. still the same.
Customer then told me she could press on the door and get it to work!
On closer look at door starting to part/distort slightly near the door latch.Took apart and reassembled, worked alot better but not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}.
Have now ordered inner and outer frame and door catch kit.May 11, 2010 at 2:21 pm #319593loopey

quick fix is bend the aloi door pecker with a pair of grips to wards the door lock done loads of them , or change the pecker , very common fault on these , that and the bleedin dryer elements lol 🙁
