APL8223 not heating?

    Hi – I have a Hygena APL8223; been working fine (well, OK) for the last 5 years, suddenly stopped getting hot – i’ve just replaced the element but no luck; any suggestions?

    Safety thermostat has tripped out, perhaps? It’s the black block with 4 terminals adjacent to the heater on the underside. It should meter out as normally closed.

    Power off, if investigating.

    hmmm – replacing basic parts like-for-like I can do, circuit tests, however basic are beyond me…

    …so I guess I need professional help – as a newcomer to the site is there somewhere here to find a reputable engineer for this machine?
