APM 8512 Washing m/c doesn’t spin at high speed

Hi ,

I have an APM 8512 washing machine that doesn’t spin at the correct speed (500 rpm or 1000 rpm) when it has a light load . For example 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} load .
It spins correctly when loaded with towels .

The filter is clear .

Any idea what the problem can be .

Out of Balance. Classic problem with these cheap built-ins.

Not really a problem as such, more a case of the way it is designed. Like most machines these have ‘out of balance’ sensing which is basically a speed feedback from the motor to the electronics. Not enough wash load means not enough to balance the weight in the drum easily which means no spin. Unfortunately your machine is particularly sensitive to balance 😕
